Lovense Remote lets you connect a Lovense toy to your phone, control supported functions, create custom patterns and share control with a partner.
This guide focuses on how to use the app: connecting your toy, controlling it nearby, setting up partner control, using Toy Sync and resolving common connection problems.
If you first want to understand the technology behind Bluetooth, internet control and the Lovense ecosystem, read How Does the Lovense App Work?
Before You Connect Your Lovense Toy
Before opening Lovense Remote, make sure:
- Your Lovense toy has sufficient charge.
- The toy is turned on.
- Bluetooth is enabled on the phone or compatible device.
- Lovense Remote has the device permissions required by your phone.
- The toy is not already connected to another controlling device.
How to Connect a Lovense Toy to Your Phone
Turn the Toy On
Make sure your Lovense toy is powered on and ready to connect.
Enable Bluetooth
Turn Bluetooth on for the phone or device that will control the toy.
Open Lovense Remote
Launch the app and open the area used to add or connect a toy.
Search for Your Toy
Select the option to search for or add a device and choose your toy when it appears.
Connect Inside Remote
Complete the connection from inside Lovense Remote.
Open the Controls
Once connected, the app will display the controls supported by that particular toy.
How to Control a Lovense Toy Nearby
Once the toy is connected, your phone becomes the control interface.
The options shown depend on the product. One toy may provide vibration controls, while another may provide rotation, contraction, thrusting or another powered function.
Use the controls displayed for your individual toy rather than assuming every Lovense product has the same settings.
How to Create and Use Lovense Patterns
Lovense Remote can use preset patterns and custom sequences.
Open the Pattern Controls
Choose the pattern or programmable control area available for your connected toy.
Create a Sequence
Build a changing sequence using the controls available for the supported toy function.
Save the Pattern
Save a pattern you want to return to later.
Replay or Explore
Replay your saved pattern or explore other available patterns inside the Lovense ecosystem.
How to Use Music and Sound Control
Music Control
Open the music-based control mode and select the audio source supported by your current setup. Compatible toy functions can then respond to changes in the music.
Sound Control
Sound mode uses the phone microphone as an input. Make sure microphone permission is enabled if the feature requires it.
How to Give a Partner Control of Your Lovense
For normal long-distance partner control, the person using the toy keeps it connected to their own nearby phone.
Connect Your Toy
The person using the toy connects it locally to their own phone through Lovense Remote.
Connect With Your Partner
Both users connect through Lovense Remote for the normal Live Control workflow.
Send the Control Request
The remote partner sends a Live Control request.
Accept Control
The person using the toy accepts the request before supported controls are shared.
How Live Control Works
Watch the official demonstration directly inside this Discreet Life guide.
How to Use Lovense Long Distance
Once the toy is connected to the nearby phone and the remote-control session has been established, long-distance control uses the internet between both users.
Your partner can therefore be outside normal Bluetooth range. The local Bluetooth connection stays between the toy and the phone physically near it.
How to Use Lovense Toy Sync
Connect Each Toy
Each person connects their own compatible Lovense toy to their own device.
Connect With Your Partner
Both users establish the connected session inside Lovense Remote.
Start or Send Sync
Use the available Sync control to start the shared toy session.
Accept the Sync Session
Once accepted, the compatible toys can participate in the connected interaction.
Adding a Partner & Using Sync Control
This official demonstration shows the partner and Sync workflow without requiring you to leave Discreet Life.
Can Someone Control Lovense Without Installing the App?
Lovense also provides a Control Link option. A toy user can share a compatible control link, which may allow another person to control supported functions through the link rather than installing Lovense Remote.
Use link-based control only with people you trust, and end access when you no longer want the other person to control the toy.
Using Voice or Video With Lovense Remote
Lovense Remote includes communication features alongside connected toy controls.
If supported by your current app setup, you can use voice or video communication while maintaining a remote-control session. You can also use another communication platform while keeping Lovense Remote open for toy control.

- Only accept remote-control sessions from people you trust.

Lovense Bluetooth & Connection Troubleshooting
Check the Toy's Power
Make sure the toy is charged, turned on and ready for a Bluetooth connection.
Check Bluetooth
Confirm Bluetooth is enabled on the phone or compatible device.
Connect Inside Remote
Use Lovense Remote itself rather than manually pairing the toy in the normal Bluetooth settings.
Check Other Devices
If the toy is already connected to another phone, tablet or computer, disconnect it there first.
Restart the Toy and App
Turn the toy off and back on and reopen Lovense Remote before trying again.
Check the Internet
If local control works but partner control does not, verify internet access on both sides.
Check the Security PIN
If your supported toy uses a Security PIN, confirm that the correct PIN is being entered.
Review App Permissions
Bluetooth, nearby-device, microphone or camera permissions may be needed for particular features.
Lovense Remote How-To FAQs
Why won't my Lovense connect to my phone?
Check that the toy is charged and turned on, Bluetooth is enabled, the toy is not connected to another device and you are connecting it from inside Lovense Remote.
Can my partner control my Lovense from another country?
Yes. Once the toy is connected locally to the nearby phone, long-distance control uses the internet between users.
Does my partner need their own Lovense toy?
No. A partner can control your connected toy without owning another Lovense product. A second compatible toy becomes relevant for Toy Sync sessions involving products on both sides.
Does my partner need Lovense Remote?
For the normal Live Control and Toy Sync workflows, both partners generally use Lovense Remote. Control Link can provide another option for compatible link-based control.
Can two phones connect directly to the same Lovense toy?
The toy connects directly to one controlling device at a time. Remote partner control is routed through the device that is locally connected to the toy.
Why does Lovense work nearby but not long distance?
If local control works, the Bluetooth connection may be functioning correctly. Check the internet connection and remote-control session on both users' devices.
